You can now create and setup your pass URL directly in the Experience Builder. For additional information on why we are setting up a subdomain in your DNS refer to this article.

Creating a CNAME Record in Your DNS Provider

  • The Bandwango URL must be a subdomain of a domain that you own that you have already set up with a DNS hosting provider.

  • You will create a CNAME record that points to the Bandwango server. A CNAME record tells computers that when someone types in your custom domain (explore.yourdomain.com) that you want to actually load your Bandwango mobile passes.

Setting up your Custom Domain

1. To create your Pass URL navigate to your account settings page (left global nav bar)

2. Click “EDIT” on the top right.

3. Scroll down to “Custom Domain DNS Settings”

4. Enter your desired subdomain and click “SUBMIT”

PLEASE NOTE:
**You must own and manage the domain you use for your custom domain.

**You want the word before your domain to be GENERIC (all passes will live under this subdomain).

✨ Here are some of our most popular URL formats

6. Another section will appear titled “Domain Status”

If you have created the CNAME record in your DNS, click the refresh button to verify the record is propagating successfully.

Pending - target created, but not yet verified

Failed - unable to verify DNS record

Success - subdomain has propagated successfully

7. If you require additional assistance from your site manager, IT specialist, or development team to create this CNAME record, you can view or download the PDF instructions and share with your colleagues who can complete this process.
