Accessing your Places Manager

Your Places Manager is the central hub to manage all of your Places across all of your mobile passes. You can create new Places, update existing ones, manage your Place's contacts, and remove any Place from your global network.

Your Places Manager is located under "Places" in the experience builder.

📚 You can also create Places directly within the Experience Builder while creating your mobile pass. When you create a Place in the Pass Builder it is automatically added to your Global Network.

🌲 You may want your Places to have a different name, image, or description depending on the mobile pass, like on a Holiday-themed experience or a scavenger hunt. This is all absolutely possible!

Adding New Places To Your Network

🎯 Pro Tip - We always recommend you search for Google Listings first before creating a Manual Place

  1. Enter the Place’s name in the “Place Name” search bar.

If the Place you are searching for has a Google Business listing, you will see it in the search results.

  2. Click the Place you wish to add from the search results.

If your Place does not appear in the search results scroll down to “Creating A Manual Place”

  3. A map will appear with a pin denoting the location of your Place. If you need to adjust the Place's location, you may drag this pin to the correct spot.

  4. Once you’ve confirmed this is the correct Place and location, click “Add”

  5. You’ve just added a Place to your Network!

Creating Manual Places

📚 Help! My Place is Not Appearing in the Search Results…

Sometimes Places don’t have a Google Business listing, and that’s okay! At Bandwango, we call these types of places “Manual Places.” Many Points of Interest, such as Historical Sites, hikes, murals, statues, and parks do not have a Google Listing and a Manual Place must be created for these.

  1. Ensure the Checkbox titled “Manual” is selected

  2. Enter your Place’s Name in the field titled “Point of Interest Name”

  3. As you enter the Place’s name, you will see a map appear with a pin.

    1. The default location of this pin is at the address in your account settings.

    2. If you know exactly where this Place is located, you can drag the pin to the correct location on the map, otherwise...

    3. We can manually set the location after clicking "ADD"

  4. Once you’ve entered the Place’s Name, click “ADD”

  5. You’ve just added a Manual Place to your Network!

Adding and Updating Your Place's Information

After clicking "ADD" or when you click the ✏️ Pencil icon to edit a Place, a popup window will appear. Here you can edit your Place's information.

🌲 You may want your Places to have a different name, image, or description depending on the mobile pass, like on a Holiday-themed experience or a scavenger hunt. This is all absolutely possible!

  1. Your Place's Name

  2. Your Place's Contact Information

If this is a location with a Google listing, then their website, address, and phone number be pre-populated.

If you would like to update this information, you must reach out to the business to update on Google as that is where most people will find them.

  3. Tell your guests about this Place with a great Description

You can also click "Auto-generate" to have AI write a description for your Place. If you would like to have descriptions unique to each pass you are creating, read this guide HERE.

  4. Showcase your Place with a great Image

  5. Categorize your Place with our default categories

  6. Add any Contacts to your Place

Your Place's Contacts are the ones who will receive invitations to join passes when you are asking for inventory for your various passes.

Verified Contacts - If you see a green badge by a registered contact this indicates they have an account in the Bandwango system.

Once all the Place’s information has been added, click “SAVE”
